Hair of Shame
Workout: Run 4.35 miles/ 44:29 min
Wow. A one workout day. I woke up feeling awful this morning. I think the heat at boot camp last night wore me out. As the morning progressed, I was feeling better and better, so I was able to go run around 4:00 when Mo went running. I’d like to think that my body is adjusting to running in the heat, and it felt that way during today’s hot hot run, but mornings like this make me wonder if anyone ever really adjusts to running in this heat. Looks like I will be ordering a bucket of water with dinner tonight.
This morning while I was not running, I booked a hair appointment at the Aveda Institute.
I’m very cheap about some things. Like socks. I don’t think twice about fancy cat food, but I’ll stick with the $15 haircuts by students.
When I walked into Aveda, my hair was in the same braid I put it in…Monday night. That braid survived three workouts and two nights. That’s a built to last braid. I didn’t tell the stylist that little tidbit because I didn’t want her to run away screaming.
What do you cheap out on? For me it’s obviously hair cuts and running socks.

You always have good hair…I love it!!!
Your hair looks great! Of course you have “Popular Girl Hair.” I cheap out on soap and generic cotton products like balls and Q-Tips.
umbrellas and toilet paper.
