Just what I needed
Thursday: Upper Body and Core Boot Camp / 50 minutes
Friday: Run 3.5 miles / 34:58 minutes
Saturday: Lower Body Boot Camp / 60 minutes
This weekend has been full “just what I need.” It started by finishing our first week of school. I love the people that I work with and so far I love the school. The glow of adorable middle schoolers has not warn off yet and I’m sure I will have tons of funny kid-isms this year.
First one: “Sometimes I drink water and spit it out.”
“No. Outside. I like to water the earth.”
Mo and I went to see The Campaign. It was funny but not that funny. Still, I love seeing movies at the theater!!! On our way home we spotted this guy hanging on for dear life to our windshield.
We got him home and he hopefully hopped away. Well, at least he wasn’t there in the morning.
“Just what I needed” weekend continued this morning with boot camp with Jess. I opted not to run beforehand because it has been three weeks since my last lower body boot camp.
And I knew. Jess. would. tear. me. up.
It was awesome.
Then this happened.
Sal’s is a classic sno ball stand in Old Metairie. Mo got a white chocolate chip sno ball with condensed milk and I got a stuffed dreamsicle sno ball. It was just what I needed.
I’m letting my legs rest for the rest of the day and hopefully I can work the stiffness out of them tomorrow. Maybe a massage should be next on my list for the weekend…
Do you prefer to see movies in the theater or at home?
Mo likes at home and I like the theater.
